Hi,
thanks for the fast replies. About the points mentioned:

- We cannot yet disclose the lock mechanism. A patent has been filed, but it is in the 1 year period where it remains non-public. I hope you can understand
- About duplicating keys: we use a 3D scanner and avoid having to do complex scaling in the pictures. You grab the key, 3D scan it and obtain a 3D file that you can use directly on the 3D printer software. Today you need a 2000€ 3D scanner for that, in 1 year you might be able to do it with special smartphones: http://3dprint.com/57064/intel-real-sense-3d-scan/
- We have duplicated many commercial cylinder-lock keys: in plastic using an Ultimaker home 3d printer and also in metals (Selective Laser melting machine). It is amazing how many complex keys can be succesfully duplicated. So far all that we tried, worked. Plastic keys work, but after some months they ussually become brittle and break.
- We have not tried Bramah-Chupp and Kromer Protector keys, but we can certainly give it a try if we can get hold of a key. Essentially, if you see the features you can also scan them . Movable elements are another story and add more difficulties to the process.
- 3D printing components of the lock is something we are exploring
- About cylinder dimensions, it is true that we had lots of space in the Swiss profile. Our current design is now tighter in a similar way as Keso's and thanks to that we can now expand to smaller profiles.
- Penetration with a misaligned key was one of our biggest concerns in the past.

Coming back to the movable elements: it just takes some little tricks extra.

Maybe you can place the key sensing elements (thin needles, I also guess) closer to the back and have a guide section in the front of the keyway that helps to align the key.

I would think that the key can't be closed on its sides but needs slots for the thin needles; then the key could be compressed while handled incorrectly, and if compressed, the slots become too thin and will also bend the needles.
